1. Who these Terms apply to
These Terms govern your use of Sidechained — our website, apps, and services — whether you are on the free tier, a trial, or a paid plan. By using Sidechained you agree to them.
2. About Sidechained
Sidechained is a workspace for live meetings and lectures. It records from your microphone and produces transcripts, speaker separation, summaries, notes, and an assistant you can ask about the record. Nothing joins your call.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for the activity that happens under it. Tell us at support@sidechained.app or takudzwa@sidechained.app if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Your content
Your recordings, transcripts, and notes are yours. You grant us only the limited rights needed to host, process, and display them so the service can work. You are responsible for complying with recording and consent laws in your jurisdiction, and for telling participants a recording is being made where that is required.
5. AI-generated output
Transcripts, summaries, and assistant replies are generated automatically and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Review anything you rely on. We are not responsible for decisions made on the basis of automated output.
6. Payments
Paid plans are billed through Dodo Payments at the price shown at checkout. Trials convert to a paid plan unless cancelled beforehand. Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
7. Acceptable use
Use Sidechained lawfully. Do not use it to record people unlawfully, to infringe others’ rights, or to disrupt or misuse the service.
8. Third-party services
Sidechained relies on providers for authentication, payments, hosting, and AI processing. We are not responsible for outages or failures of those third parties.
9. Availability and changes
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may add, change, or remove features, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access for breach of these Terms or misuse of the service. You may stop using Sidechained at any time; some data may be retained where required for legal or operational reasons.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
12. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Sidechained is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss caused by automated output or by third-party services.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Sidechained is established, and disputes are subject to its courts.
